Directorate of Fisheries, Govt of Assam has invited applications from eligible and intending candidates for the recruitment of Professionals in various disciplines under Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) assisted Assam State Aquaculture Promotion and Livelihood Improvement (ASAPALI) Project in 2026.

1. Aquaculture Specialist
No of Posts: 01
Education: Post Graduate/Graduate Degree in Fisheries from an ICAR-recognized university.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in the aquaculture field within Public/Private sector or Externally Aided Projects (EAP).
Remuneration: ₹1.00 lakh to ₹1.25 lakh per month.
2. Procurement Specialist
No of Posts: 01
Education: Post Graduate Degree in Fisheries/Agricultural Economics, MBA in Agriculture, or a Master's/Graduate Engineering degree. Must be trained in JICA/World Bank/ADB procurement norms.
Experience: Minimum 7 years in Procurement Management, with at least 4 years in World Bank/ADB/JICA projects. E-procurement experience is a plus.
Remuneration: ₹1.00 lakh to ₹1.10 lakh per month.
3. Junior Project Engineer

Education: Graduate in Civil/Architectural Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in construction projects, including planning, design, and proficiency in AutoCAD & Autodesk products.
Remuneration: ₹0.50 lakh to ₹0.60 lakh per month.
4. DX Assistant
Education: Graduate/Post Graduate Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in digital transformation projects, designing information-sharing platforms. Experience in EAP/National Flagship Programs is preferred.
Remuneration: ₹0.50 lakh to ₹0.60 lakh per month.
5. Fishery Expert

Education: B.F.Sc from an ICAR-recognized institute.
Experience: Preference for 5 years in inland aquaculture, with at least 2 years in EAPs like World Bank or ADB.
Remuneration: ₹0.50 lakh to ₹0.60 lakh per month.
6. Account and MIS Consultant
No of Posts: 01
Education: B.Com, BBA (Accounting/Finance), or Bachelor of Accounting.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in audit & accounts, proficient in Tally, with at least 2 years in EAP projects.
Remuneration: ₹0.40 lakh to ₹0.50 lakh per month.
7. Supporting Staff (Computer Assistant)
No of Posts: 02
Education: Graduate with a 6-month IT/Computer Science certificate.
Experience: Not mandatory, but government/private sector experience is preferred.
Remuneration: ₹0.30 lakh to ₹0.40 lakh per month.
Language: Proficiency in English required; knowledge of local language is an advantage.
