Criteria of Nationality:
Candidates must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan Refugee (pre-1962 settlers), or
- A person of Indian origin from specified countries with a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.
Age Limits (as of September 1, 2025):
- Office Assistants (Multipurpose): 18–28 years (born between September 2, 1997, and September 1, 2007).
- Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): 18–30 years (born between September 2, 1995, and September 1, 2007).
- Officer Scale-II (Manager): 21–32 years (born between September 2, 1993, and September 1, 2004).
- Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): 21–40 years (born between September 2, 1985, and September 1, 2004).
Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen (Office Assistants): Service period + 3 years (8 years for SC/ST), max 50 years
- Ex-Servicemen (Officers): 5 years
- Widows/Divorced Women (Office Assistants): Up to 35 years (General/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST)
Educational Qualifications:
- Office Assistants & Officer Scale-I: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Officer Scale-II (Generalist): Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and 2 years of banking experience.
- Officer Scale-II (Specialist): Specific qualifications (e.g., IT, Law, Agriculture) with relevant experience.
- Officer Scale-III: Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and 5 years of banking experience.
Note: Candidates must have proficiency in the local language of the RRB applied for (e.g., Telugu for Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank, Hindi for Bihar Gramin Bank).
Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
PwBD candidates with at least 40% disability (as per RPWD Act, 2016) are eligible for reservation. Categories include:
- Visual Impairment (VI): Blindness or Low Vision.
- Hearing Impaired (HI): Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Locomotor Disability (LD): Includes Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, etc.
- Intellectual Disability (ID): Autism, Specific Learning Disability, Mental Illness.
- Multiple Disabilities: Combination of above categories.
Candidates requiring a scribe must arrange their own (at their cost) and provide a disability certificate as per guidelines. Compensatory time (20 minutes per hour) is available for eligible candidates.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS):
EWS candidates with a family income below ₹8 lakh annually (not covered under SC/ST/OBC reservations) are eligible, subject to producing an Income & Asset Certificate.
Examination Structure:
Office Assistants & Officer Scale-I:
- Preliminary Exam: Reasoning and Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude (80 marks, 45 minutes).
- Main Exam: Includes Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Computer Knowledge.
- Officer Scale-II & III: Single-level exam covering relevant subjects based on the post.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Interview (Officers): Conducted by Nodal RRBs with NABARD and IBPS assistance.
