Job Location: State Level VRDL, Department of Microbiology, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati.
Age Limit: Not more than 38 years (Relaxation as per Govt. rules).
Salary: As per DHR guidelines.
Educational Qualification:
- MD in Microbiology from a National Medical Commission (NMC) recognized medical college is the preferred desirable qualification.
- Candidates with MBBS/BVSc/BDS from an NMC/DCI/VCI recognized institution and a minimum of 5 years of research and diagnostic experience in a Government laboratory engaged in molecular virology (ICMR/DHR/CSIR) are also eligible.
Experience & Skills:
- Hands-on experience in molecular diagnostics including real-time RT-PCR, NGS (Illumina/Oxford Nanopore), bioinformatics, cell culture, and serological assays.
- Experience in establishing ISO 15189/NABL quality management systems and biosafety practices in BSL-2/BSL-3 laboratories.
- Evidence of independently handling funded research projects and a minimum of three original research publications in indexed journals.
- Experience in outbreak investigation and genomic surveillance.
