Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has recently invited applications from eligible and intending candidates to recruit 336 Trade Apprentice and Technician Apprentice in 2025 across Bongaigaon, Digboi and Guwahati Refineries.

Monthly stipend: as per Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and corporate guidelines.
Participating Refineries & Total Vacancies:
- Digboi Refinery: 112 seats
- Guwahati Refinery: 82 seats
- Bongaigaon Refinery: 142 seats
Available Trades & Disciplines:
Positions are available in the following trades (with varying seat counts per refinery):
- Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – B.Sc. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry)
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter) – Matric with ITI in Fitter Trade
- Trade Apprentice (Boiler) – B.Sc. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry)
- Technician Apprentice – Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
- Trade Apprentice – Secretarial Assistant – B.A./B.Sc/B.Com
- Trade Apprentice – Accountant – B.Com
- Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator – Class XII Pass (Fresher or Skill Certificate Holder)
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) in the required qualification.
- Must have passed the qualifying exam as a regular full-time student.
- ITI, Diploma, or Degree in the specified branch/subject only.
Age Limit:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 24 years (General/EWS)
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Selection Process:
No Exam, Pure Merit
- Selection based on the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination.
- Preference for first-time apprenticeship applicants.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

Interested and eligible candidates who have fulfilled the above-mentioned eligibility criteria may apply online through the official government portal, and we have provided an online link below post-wise.
Candidates must follow the steps below to apply successfully without any hesitation.
Step 1 – Register on NAPS/NATS Portal:
- For Trade Apprentices (Codes 101, 102, 103, 108, 109, 110, 111): Register on NAPS – apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
- For Technician Apprentices (Codes 104, 105, 106, 107): Register on NATS – nats.education.gov.in
- Complete the application on www.iocrefrecruit.in from 28th Nov to 18th Dec 2025.
✅ Both steps are mandatory. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
