Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has recently invited applications from eligible and intending candidates to recruit 109 Technician and Trade Apprentice Vacancies in Bongaigaon Refinery and Guwahati Refinery.

1. Graduate Apprentice - Chemical
Number of Seats: 40 (UR-18, OBC-NCL-11, SC-6, ST-4, PwBD-1)
Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 24 years as on 28th February 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories. SC and ST candidates get relaxation up to 5 years, and OBC-NCL candidates get relaxation up to 3 years. PwBD candidates get relaxation up to 10 years.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess a Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology from a recognized Board, University, or Institute as a regular full-time course.
- Minimum Marks Required: A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree is required. For SC, ST, and PwBD candidates applying against reserved seats, the minimum marks required is 45%.
2. Graduate Apprentice - Mechanical
Number of Seats: 33 (UR-15, OBC-NCL-9, SC-5, ST-3, PwBD-1)
Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 24 years as on 28th February 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories. SC and ST candidates get relaxation up to 5 years, and OBC-NCL candidates get relaxation up to 3 years. PwBD candidates get relaxation up to 10 years.

SC and ST candidates get relaxation up to 5 years, and OBC-NCL candidates get relaxation up to 3 years. PwBD candidates get relaxation up to 10 years.

- Candidates must possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology from a recognized Board, University, or Institute as a regular full-time course.
- Minimum Marks Required: A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying diploma is required. For SC, ST, and PwBD candidates applying against reserved seats, the minimum marks required is 45%.
4. Technician Apprentice - Fitter
Number of Seats: 7 (UR-3, OBC-NCL-2, SC-1, ST-1). This post has 2 seats identified for PwBD candidates with specific benchmark disabilities.
Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 24 years as on 28th February 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories. SC and ST candidates get relaxation up to 5 years, and OBC-NCL candidates get relaxation up to 3 years. PwBD candidates get relaxation up to 10 years.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology from a recognized Board, University, or Institute as a regular full-time course. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in the Fitter trade.

5. Trade Apprentice - Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant)
Number of Seats: 13 UR-7, EWS-1, SC-1, ST-1, OBC-NCL-3
Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 24 years as on 28th February 2026 for General and EWS candidates. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government guidelines. SC and ST candidates get relaxation of up to 5 years, OBC-NCL candidates get relaxation of up to 3 years, and PwBD candidates get relaxation of up to 10 years.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
6. Trade Apprentice (Boiler)
Number of Seats: 24 UR-8, EWS-3, SC-1, ST-1, OBC-NCL-11
Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 24 years as on 28th February 2026 for General and EWS candidates. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government guidelines. SC and ST candidates get relaxation of up to 5 years, OBC-NCL candidates get relaxation of up to 3 years, and PwBD candidates get relaxation of up to 10 years.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
7. Technician Apprentice - Chemical

Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 24 years as on 28th February 2026 for General and EWS candidates. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government guidelines. SC and ST candidates get relaxation of up to 5 years, OBC-NCL candidates get relaxation of up to 3 years, and PwBD candidates get relaxation of up to 10 years.
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
9. Technician Apprentice - Instrumentation
Number of Seats: 4 UR-2, ST-1, PwBD-1
Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 24 years as on 28th February 2026 for General and EWS candidates. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government guidelines. Educational Qualification: Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation and Electronics, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
