The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 9195 Constable (Technical & Tradesmen and Pioneer) vacancies.

1. Constable (Technical & Tradesmen)
Total: 9,175 Vacancies (Male: 9,096 | Female: 79)
These vacancies are distributed across various States/UTs. Major trades include:
- Driver (HMV License required)
- Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV)
- Cook, Barber, Hairdresser, Washer Man/Woman
- Carpenter, Cobbler, Tailor, Painter
- Mali (Gardener), Water Carrier, Safai Karamchari
- Brass Band, Pipe Band, Bugler
(Note: Specific vacancy numbers vary by State. For example, Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of vacancies, followed by West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.)
2. Constable (Pioneer)
Total: 20 Vacancies (All India) (Male Only)
- Mason: 13 Posts
- Electrician: 7 Posts
No of posts @ Assam: 288 posts
Pay Scale & Benefits:
- Pay Level: Level-3 (as per 7th CPC)
- Basic Pay: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100 per month
- Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance, Risk/Hardship Allowance, and other benefits as per government rules.
Age Limit for CRPF Constable 2026:
✅ For Driver: 21 to 27 years
- Born between: 02.01.1999 and 01.01.2005
- Born between: 02.01.2003 and 01.01.2008
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 Years
- OBC-NCL: +3 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: +3 Years (after deducting military service)
- Victims of 1984 Riots: +5 Years (UR), +8 Years (OBC), +10 Years (SC/ST)
Educational Qualification of CRPF Latest Constable Vacancy:
✅ For Driver:
- Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board.
- Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV)/Transport Driving License issued by any RTO/RTA in India.
✅ For Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV):
- Matriculation (10th Pass).
- ITI Certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle (2 years) OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (3 years) + 1 year practical experience.
✅ For Pioneer (Mason/Electrician):
- Matriculation (10th Pass).
- 1 Year Experience in respective trade.
- Preference: ITI Certificate in Masonry or Electrician.
✅ For All Other Tradesmen (Cook, Carpenter, Tailor, etc.):
- Matriculation (10th Pass) OR equivalent Army qualification for Ex-Army personnel.
- Must be proficient and have worked in the respective trade.
Domicile Requirement:
- Technical & Tradesmen: Candidates must possess a valid Domicile/Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of the State/UT they are applying for. Note: Assam and Arunachal Pradesh do not issue domicile certificates; residential status will be verified by district authorities.
- Pioneer: Open to all Indian citizens (All India Basis).
Selection Process of CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026:
The selection process consists of multiple stages. Candidates must qualify in each stage to proceed to the next.
1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST):
✅ PET (Race):
- Driver/MMV/Carpenter/etc.: Male: 5 km in 24 mins | Female: 1.6 km in 8.30 mins
- Cook/Washer/Safai/etc.: Male: 1.6 km in 10 mins | Female: 1.6 km in 12 mins
- Pioneer (Mason/Electrician): Male: 1.6 km in 9 mins
✅ PST: Measurement of Height, Chest (for males), and Weight.
- General Height: Male: 170 cm | Female: 157 cm
- Relaxations apply for ST, North-Eastern States, Gorkhas, etc.
2. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- Total Questions: 100 MCQs
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
✅ Syllabus:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 Qs)
- General Knowledge & Awareness (25 Qs)
- Elementary Mathematics (25 Qs)
- English/Hindi Language (25 Qs)
3. Trade/Skill Test:
- Qualifying nature (Minimum 20 marks out of 50 required).
- Practical assessment based on the specific trade (e.g., Driving test for Drivers, Cooking for Cooks, Masonry work for Masons).
4. Document Verification (DV) & Detailed Medical Examination (DME):
- Verification of original documents (Domicile, ITI, License, Caste, etc.).
- Medical fitness check as per CAPF standards.
