CRPF Recruitment 2026:
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has released the notification for recruitment of meritorious sportspersons for Head Constable (General Duty) and Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota 2026. A total of 521 vacancies are available for eligible male and female sportspersons across various sports
CRPF Head Constable Vacancy Details 2026:
✅ Head Constable/GD: 182 posts
- Male: 150
- Female: 32
✅ Constable/GD: 339 posts
- Male: 258
- Female: 81

The vacancies cover sports such as Athletics, Aquatics, Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Karate, Shooting, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Wrestling, Yoga, Weightlifting, Water Sports and others.
Pay Scale:
- Head Constable (GD): Pay Level-4: ₹25,500–₹81,100
- Constable (GD): Pay Level-3: ₹21,700–₹69,100
- Selected candidates will also receive applicable DA, HRA and other allowances as per CRPF/Government rules.
Educational Qualification:
- Head Constable/GD: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.
- Constable/GD: Candidates should have passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent from a recognized board.
Age Limit for CRPF Head Constable GD 2026:
The age limit is 18 to 23 years as on 1 August 2026.
The notification provides additional age relaxation for eligible categories such as OBC, SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen as per the prescribed rules.
Sports Qualification:
This recruitment is specifically for meritorious sportspersons. Candidates must meet the prescribed sports achievement criteria, including participation or medals/positions in recognized international, national, university, school or Khelo India competitions, depending on the post and discipline.
The sports achievement/certificate must generally relate to the two years preceding the advertisement and candidates must possess the required certificates by the closing date of application.
Physical Standards:
The basic physical standards include:
- Male Height: 170 cm
- Female Height: 157 cm
- Male Chest: 80 cm unexpanded with minimum 5 cm expansion
Relaxations are available for specified categories, including candidates from Assam and other North-Eastern states, subject to the prescribed conditions and certificates.
Selection Process of Head Constable GD Vacancy:
The CRPF Sports Quota recruitment process includes:
- Identity verification and biometric capture
- Document verification
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Sports Trial Test
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Review Medical Examination (RME), where applicable
- Final merit list based on sports achievements
Candidates who fail the sports trial will not be considered for recruitment. The final merit is based on marks awarded for eligible sports achievements.

- ₹100: Male candidates belonging to UR, OBC and EWS categories
- No fee: Female candidates, SC/ST candidates and Ex-Servicemen
- The fee must be paid online through the CRPF recruitment website.
