Kamrup Metro Judiciary.Last Date: 04/08/2026.
The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kamrup (Metro) has released a notification inviting applications for two purely contractual positions: Driver and Office Peon (Munshi/Attendant). This is a good opportunity for candidates with educational qualifications ranging from Class VIII to Class X to join the judiciary in Guwahati.

1. Driver
No of Posts: 1
Salary: Rs. 15000/- per month
Educational Qualification: Class X (10th) standard passed.
2. Peon
No of Posts: 1
Salary: Rs. 15000/- per month
Educational Qualification: Class VIII Pass; HSSLC (12th) or above not eligible
Age Limit: A candidate shall not be below 18 years of age and above 40 years in case of general candidates as on 01.01.2026. The upper age limit in case of candidates belonging to SC & ST category shall be 45 years and in case of candidates belonging to ОВС/МОВСC category shall be 43 years as on 01.01.2026. (As per Govt. of Assam, Deptt. of Personnel O.M. No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 02/09/2020).
How to Apply ?
1. Use the Standard Form of Application (Assam Gazette Part IX).
2. Attach self-attested copies of:
- Educational qualification certificates
- Age proof (HSLC Admit Card/Certificate)
- Employment Exchange Registration Certificate
- Valid Driving License (for Driver post only)
- 2 recent passport-size photographs
3. Mention the post name clearly on the envelope.
4. Submit by Registered Post, Speed Post, by hand, or in the Drop Box at the DLSA office between 24th July and 4th August 2026.
