The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently announced an employment notification for recruiting Various Constable GD Positions.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited online applications from eligible and intending candidates for the recruitment of 25487 Vacancy as Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR).

Pay Scale: Pay Level – 3 (₹21,700/- to ₹ 69,100/-) for all the posts.
Eligibility Criteria of SSC Constable GD Recruitment 2023
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies are state/ UT wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his state/ UT.
Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 23 years as on 1st January 2026. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2003 and later than 01-01-2008.
Age Relaxation: Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are as under:
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University as on or before the cut-off date, i.e., 01-01-2026.
Application Fees:
Candidates have to pay a certain amount as an application fee depending on their category. The details are given below:

Selection Process of SSC Constable GD Recruitment
The selection process of SSC Constable GD will consist of the following stages:
- a) Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
- b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- c) Physical Standard Test (PST)
- d) Medical Examination (DME/ RME) and
- e) Document Verification
