Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam has recently announced an employment notification for recruiting for various teacher positions. Interested candidates can check the age limit, salary, posts, educational qualifications, and other eligibility criteria below.

Online applications are at this moment invited through the official website of DEE, Assam, i.e. https://dee.assam.gov.in from eligible Indian Citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent residents of Assam, who are qualified in Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET)/ Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for UP Schools, for filling up of 4500 (four thousand five hundred) vacancies of Assistant Teachers for Lower Primary (LP) Schools and Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers for Upper Primary (UP) Schools under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam.

Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 – Rs.70,000 plus Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Assam TET Eligibility Criteria for LP UP Teacher Vacancy 2025:
👉 Assistant Teacher (LP): Candidates wishing to submit online applications for the post of Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary) must fulfil the following eligibility criteria.
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
- Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary School.
👉 Assistant Teacher (UP): Candidates wishing to submit online applications for the post of Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary) must fulfil the following eligibility criteria.
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
- Graduate from the UGC-recognized University.
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.
👉 Science Teacher (UP): Candidates wishing to submit online applications for the Science Teacher (Upper Primary) post must fulfill the following eligibility criteria.
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
- B.Sc. from the UGC recognized University.
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.
👉 Hindi Teacher (UP): Candidates wishing to submit online applications for the post of Hindi Teacher (Upper Primary) must fulfill the following eligibility criteria.
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
- Graduate with Hindi as one of the subjects from the UGC-recognized University.
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.
Other Criteria of TET Assam Recruitment 2025:
TET Eligibility: The candidates who have passed the ATET/CTET for Upper Primary School will be eligible to apply. Either the Language-I or the Language-II of both ATET and CTET candidates shall match the medium of instruction of the school wherein the candidate wishes to apply.
Nationality: An Indian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Assam is eligible for this recruitment.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as of 1st January 2025.
Age Relaxation: The upper age relaxation will be as follows.

Small Family Norms: No person having more than two living children on or after 1st January 2021 from a single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment as per the Government policy on Small Family Norms.

Interested and suitable candidates who have fulfilled the above-mentioned eligibility criteria may apply online through the official website of the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam for the Lower Primary and Upper Primary Teachers Vacancy on or before the last date.
Documents required to be uploaded in color:
- i. Passport Size Photograph.
- ii. HSLC Admit Card.
- iii. HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
- iv Graduation mark sheet and Certificate.
- v. Any other mark sheet and Certificate of higher education.
- vi. DEIEd/ BEd Marksheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate.
- vii. Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC).
- viii. Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
- ix. Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET for UPS.
- x. Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt. authority.
- xi. Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.
- xii. Scanned Signature.
