Pay Scale: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100 (Level-3 as per 7th CPC) + Central Govt. allowances
Educational Qualifications:
Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized board
Sports Qualification (Must have participated/won medals between 15 Jan 2024 – 15 Jan 2026):
Eligible competitions include:
International: Olympics, World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, etc.
National: National Games, Senior National Championships, National Open Championships, Youth/Junior Nationals
Recognized by: International Olympic Committee (IOC), Indian Olympic Association (IOA), or Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS)
Age Limit:
18 to 23 years as on 18 August 2025
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
- Departmental candidates with 3+ years’ service: +5 years
BSF Constable GD Sports Physical Standards 2026:
- Male: Height 170 cm, Chest 80 cm (5 cm expansion)
- Female: Height 157 cm (Chest not measured)
- Relaxations apply for candidates from North-Eastern States, ST communities, Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Marathas, and others as per govt norms
BSF Constable GD Medical Standard 2026:
- Vision: 6/6 in better eye, 6/9 in worse eye without glasses
- No colour blindness, knock knees, flat feet, or squint
- Tattoos allowed only on left forearm or dorsum of hands, must be religious or traditional, and <¼ of limb size
