SSC CPO Recruitment 2026:
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) Examination, 2026. A total of 1,871 tentative vacancies are available for Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police, CAPFs and CISF Fire.
Eligible candidates can submit their online applications from 10 September 2026 to 30 September 2026 through the SSC website.

SSC CPO Sub Inspector Vacancy Details:
Name of Post: Sub-Inspector (SI)

Salary: Pay Level-6, Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month

Educational Qualification:
✅ For SI in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
✅ For SI (Fire) in CISF: Candidates must have either:
Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, or
Matriculation/equivalent with a 3-year Diploma in relevant Engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobile, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical or Telecommunication Engineering.
Male candidates applying for SI in Delhi Police must also possess a valid LMV Driving Licence for Motorcycle and Car on the date fixed for PE&MT.
Age Limit:
Age calculated as on 1 August 2026:
- All posts except SI (Fire) in CISF: 20 to 25 years
- SI (Fire) in CISF: 18 to 30 years
Age relaxation is applicable for eligible reserved categories as per Government rules, including 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Application Fee:
- General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 100/-

- SC/ST: Nil
- Eligible Ex-Servicemen: Nil
The fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or supported Debit Cards.
Selection Process of SSC CPO Recruitment 2026:
✅ The SSC CPO 2026 selection process includes:
- Paper-I Computer Based Examination
- Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET)
- Paper-II Computer Based Examination
- Detailed Medical Examination
- Document Verification
PST/PET and medical examination are qualifying in nature. Final selection will be based on performance in Paper-II, including applicable NCC bonus marks, and the candidate's post/force preference.
Physical Endurance Test:
✅ For Male Candidates:
- 100 metres race: 16 seconds
- 1.6 km race: 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.65 metres
- High Jump: 1.2 metres
- Shot Put: 4.5 metres
✅ For Female Candidates:
- 100 metres race: 18 seconds
- 800 metres race: 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 2.7 metres
- High Jump: 0.9 metres
Physical standards and height requirements vary according to the post and candidate category. Candidates from North Eastern States are eligible for the applicable physical standard relaxations mentioned in the official notification.

1. Visit the SSC website.
2. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC portal.
3. Log in and select the SSC CPO Examination 2026 application.
4. Fill in all required details carefully.
5. Upload the required signature and complete the application.
6. Pay the application fee, if applicable.
7. Submit the form and keep a copy for future reference.
The application can also be submitted through the mySSC mobile application. Candidates are advised to submit their forms before the last date and not wait until the final day.
