Age Limit for UPSC Forest Service Exam 2026:
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 32 years
- Age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen/PwBD candidates as per rules.
Educational Qualification for the Indian Forest Service Exam:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least one of these subjects:
- Animal Husbandry, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from a recognized university.
Application Fee:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹100 (Prelims) + ₹200 (Mains)
- SC/ST/PwBD/Women: Exempted from fee
- Payment via net banking/debit/credit card/UPI
Number of Attempts of IFS Exam 2026:
- General/EWS: 6 attempts
- OBC: 9 attempts
- SC/ST: No limit
- PwBD: As per community norms

Interested and suitable candidates who have fulfilled the above mentioned eligibility criteria may apply online through the official UPSC Recruitment Portal on or before the last date and follow the below steps by step guide -
- Visit UPSC Online Portal: https://upsconline.nic.in
- Complete Universal Registration (URN) Profile (one-time)
- Fill the Common Application Form (CAF)
- Upload photograph, signature, and required documents
- Pay fee (if applicable)
- Submit before 24 February 2026, 6:00 PM
