Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 23 Sports Instructor, Coach & Other Vacancy on a purely temporary basis.
Candidates are invited to a walk-in interview for the appointment starting from July 2025 to the following posts on a purely
temporary basis as per the schedule given below:

1. Part-time Sports Instructor
No of posts: 19
Sports-wise vacancy:
- Athletics (02)
- Badminton (01)

- Swimming (01-Male & 01-Female)

Duration: For a period of 10 months starting from July 2025 to April 2026.
Minimum Qualification: 10+2 passed with participation in state-level competitions/Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education/Diploma in Coaching/Certificate in Coaching.
Experience: Candidates having experience of teaching/coaching may be given preference.
Remuneration: ₹26000/- per month
2. Part-time Water Polo Coach
No of posts: 01
Duration: For a period of 10 months starting from July 2025 to April 2026.
Minimum Qualification: 10+2 passed with participation in state-level competition in water polo.
Remuneration: ₹26000/- per month

3. General Fitness Trainer
No of posts: 01
Duration: For a period of 10 months starting from July 2025 to April 2026.
Minimum Qualification: 10+2 passed with participation in state-level competitions/Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education/Diploma in Coaching/Certificate in Coaching.
Experience: Candidates having experience in the field of general fitness training, rehabilitation, recreation, etc. will be preferred.
Remuneration: ₹26000/- per month
4. Lifeguard
No of posts: 02
Duration: For a period of 10 months starting from July 2025 to April 2026.
Minimum Qualification: Candidate should possess a life guard certificate.
Remuneration: ₹26000/- per month
Age Limit:
- 45 years (desirable)
Citizenship: The candidates must be a citizens of India.
Duty hours: From 05:30 pm to 08:30 pm from Monday to Friday. Additional service may be required on Saturday, Sunday, and other Holidays as and when necessary.
