1. Technician Grade-I Signal
No. of posts: 183
Salary: Level-5 of 7th CPC, Rs.29200/-
Educational Qualification:
A) Bachelor of Science in Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute (OR) B.Sc. in a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams of Physics/ Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/ Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute
(OR)
B) Three-year Diploma in Engineering in the above basic streams or in combination of any of the above basic streams (OR) Degree in Engineering in the above basic streams or in combination of any of the above basic streams.
2. Technician Grade-III
No. of posts: 6055
Salary: Level-2 of 7th CPC, Rs.19900/-
Educational Qualification: Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade (OR) Matriculation / SSLC plus a completed Apprenticeship Act in the relevant trade.
Age Limit of RRB Recruitment 2025:
Category-wise age limit is as under.
- Technician Grade-I Signal: Candidates' age must be between 18 to 36 years as of 1st July 2025.
- Technician Grade-III: Candidates' age must be between 18 to 33 years as of 1st July 2025.
Age Relaxation: The relaxation of the upper age limit for reserved categories is as follows:
- OBC-NCL: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- PwBD – UR & EWS: 10 years
- PwBD – OBC/NCL: 13 years
- PwBD – SC & ST: 15 years
Medical Standards:
Vary by post (A3, B1, B2, C1). Candidates must meet the specified vision and physical fitness criteria.
Application Fees of RRB Technician Vacancy:
- For all candidates (except categories mentioned below at Sl. No. 2): ₹ 500/-
Out of this fee of ₹ 500/-, an amount of ₹ 400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in CBT.
- For candidates who belong to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC)*. (Caution to Candidates: EBC should not be confused with OBC or EWS): ₹ 250/-
This fee of ₹ 250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in CBT.
