North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), a Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise and a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 98 Apprentices for the financial year 2025-26 across its various power stations in Northeast India.

Eligibility Requirements:
For Graduate Engineers: Candidates must hold a degree in Engineering or Technology from a statutory university or an institution empowered by an Act of Parliament. The graduation should have been completed on or after March 31, 2024. A minimum of 40 percent marks is required. Candidates must be residents of Northeast India.
For Diploma Engineers: Applicants need a diploma in Engineering or Technology from a State Board of Technical Education, university, or recognized institute. The diploma should be completed on or after March 31, 2024, with minimum 40 percent marks.
For Non-Engineering Graduates: A three-year degree in any subject (excluding engineering/technology) from a statutory university is required. Graduation must be completed on or after March 31, 2024, with a minimum of 35 percent marks.
For ITI Trade Apprentices: Candidates must have completed the relevant ITI course in designated trades like Electrician (10th plus ITI), Lineman (8th plus ITI), or Plumber (10th plus ITI).
Age Limit:
The maximum age limit is 28 years as on September 1, 2025, with a minimum age of 18 years. Age relaxation is provided for SC/ST/OBC categories, Persons with Disabilities, and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India regulations.
Selection Process:
Merit-based on academics, followed by document verification and medical fitness. No entrance exam!
How to Apply:
For Graduate and Diploma Engineers and Non-Engineering Graduates: Candidates must apply through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal. First, register at https://nats.education.gov.in/ to obtain a valid enrollment ID. After successful registration, log in to the NATS portal, search for "NEEPCO" in the dashboard search box, and locate the specific Advertisement ID mentioned in the official notification. Apply against the relevant NEEPCO establishment and select the desired stream according to your qualifications.
For ITI Trade Apprentices: Applications must be submitted through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Register on the portal, obtain an enrollment ID, log in with your credentials, search for NEEPCO using Establishment Code E02161700001, find the relevant Opportunity Code, and apply for your trade of choice.
