Labour Court Guwahati has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of Senior Administrative Assistant (UDA) and Chowkider.

1. Senior Administrative Assistant (UDA)

Number of Vacancies: 1 (Unreserved)

Pay Scale: Pay Band-2 ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 + Grade Pay ₹8,000

Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline.

Experience: Candidates must be serving as Junior Administrative Assistants with at least 5 years of continuous service in any District Judiciary of Assam as of 01.01.2025.

2. Chowkidar

Number of Vacancies: 1 (Unreserved)

Pay Scale: Pay Band ₹12,000 – ₹52,000 + Grade Pay ₹3,900

Educational Qualification: Must have passed Class VIII. Candidates who have passed HSSLC or above are not eligible.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years as of 01.11.2025. Maximum age as per Assam Government rules.

Preference: Will be given to existing casual, contingent, or wages employees of the establishment.

Selection Process:

FOR Senior Administrative Assistant (UDA):

• Selection will be based on seniority-cum-merit.
• Evaluation will include last 5 years’ ACRs (Annual Confidential Reports) and a personal interview.

FOR Chowkider:

• Selection will be based on an interview/viva-voce (50 marks per panel member).
• Date and venue will be announced later on the official website.

How to Apply:

1. Use the Standard Form from Part-IX of the Assam Gazette.

2. Write “Application for the Post of Senior Administrative Assistant or Chowkidar” on the envelope.

3. Include the following:

• Self-attested copies of educational, age, and experience certificates.
• Three recent passport-sized photos (one pasted on the form).
• A self-declaration stating: “I have not passed HSSLC or equivalent and understand that false information may lead to criminal prosecution.”
• Self-attested copies of educational certificates, experience certificate, service book, and ACRs of the last 5 years.
• Three recent passport-sized photographs.
• Valid contact number and email ID.

4. Submit by post or drop in the office Drop-Box by 19th November 2025, 5:00 PM to:
