National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Guwahati, has released three separate notifications inviting online applications for project positions on a contractual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with qualifications in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, natural products, and life sciences to work on sponsored research projects.

1. Project Scientist-III
No of Posts: 1
Age Limit: Up to 40 years.
Fellowship: ₹67,000/- per month + 20% HRA.
Educational Qualification: PhD with a preceding Master’s Degree of first class (M.S/M.Pharm/M.Sc) in chemistry or natural product chemistry or equivalent subject related to natural products.
2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
No of Posts: 2
Age Limit: 32 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, physically handicapped, and women).
Salary: ₹42,000/- per month + 20% HRA.
Educational Qualification:
- M.S./M.Pharm. degree in Medicinal Chemistry/Natural Products/ Pharmacology and Toxicology/ Regulatory Toxicology/Life Sciences/Biotechnology or equivalent from a PCI/AICTE/UGC/NAAC recognised or accredited University/Central Autonomous Institute, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- The candidate must have qualified the GPAT/GATE/CSIR-NET or any other National-level entrance examination conducted by a Central Government agency, and the qualification must be valid at the time of the interview/selection process.
3. CEO for Bio-NEST NIPER-Guwahati Incubation Centre
No of Posts: 1
Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
Salary: ₹1,00,000/- per month.
Educational Qualification:
- Doctorate in Life Sciences or allied sciences from a recognized University. Atleast 05 years’ experience (excluding the Ph.D. tenure, if any) in atleast 2-3 sectors, including Industry, CRO, Technology Business Incubators, Start-ups, Innovation Management, or Academic / Research organizations.
- Master’s Degree in Business Management from a recognized University. 10 years’ managerial experience in at least 2-3 sectors, including Industry, CRO, Technology Business Incubators, Start-ups, Venture Capital Firms in Technology Sectors, Innovation Management.
- Experience in articulating incubation policy documents, knowledge of the start-up and entrepreneur ecosystem, proactive networking with industry, incubation centers, and mentoring for routine operations.
