Name of Post: Staff Nurse
No of Posts: 2204
Salary: Selected Staff Nurses will receive a monthly remuneration of ₹20,000.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess a B.Sc. Nursing degree or GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) diploma passed from any nursing school or institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Additionally, candidates must be registered with the Assam Nurses' Midwives' and Health Visitors' Council.
Age Limit (as on January 1, 2026):
- Open Category (UR): Up to 40 years
- OBC/MOBC: Up to 43 years (3 years relaxation)
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H): Up to 45 years (5 years relaxation)
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD): Up to 50 years (10 years relaxation)
Zone-Wise District Details:
Candidates can apply for posts based on their preferred zone. The districts under each zone are:
- Barak Valley: Cachar, Hailakandi, Sribhumi (Karimganj)
- Central Assam: Morigaon, Nagaon, Hojai
- Lower Assam: Bajali, Baksa, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Dhubri, Goalpara, Nalbari, Kamrup(M), Kamrup, Kokrajhar, South Salmara, Tamulpur
- North Assam: Biswanath, Darrang, Sonitpur, Udaiguri
- Upper Assam: Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Sivasagar, Tinsukia
Candidates are required to indicate their zone-wise preference while filling out the application form.
Application Fee:
There is no application fee required for this recruitment.

The online application form will be available from August 1, 2026, to August 15, 2026, until 11:59 PM.
