Defence Research and Development Organisation under Vehicle Research and Development Establishment has released a new recruitment notification for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) posts. Interested and eligible candidates can attend the Walk-in-Interview in May 2026.

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Mechanical Engineering
No of Posts: 2
Age Limit: Up to 28 years.
Stipend: Monthly emoluments of Rs. 37,000/- pm plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible.
Educational Qualification:
- BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or related disciplines like Mechanical & Automation, Mechanical & Production) in First Division with a valid GATE score (GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 only), OR
- ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering (or related disciplines) with First Division at both graduate and postgraduate levels
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Electrical Engineering
No of Posts: 1
Age Limit: Up to 28 years.
Stipend: Monthly emoluments of Rs. 37,000/- pm plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible.
Educational Qualification:
- BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering (or related disciplines like Electrical Power System, Electrical & Electronics, Power Electronics) in First Division with a valid GATE score (GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 only), OR
- ME/MTech in Electrical Engineering (or related disciplines) with First Division at both graduate and postgraduate levels

Eligible candidates must send their willingness via email to kapilpuraswani.vrde@gov.in by 30 April 2026 and attend the walk-in interview at VRDE Ahilyanagar from 4–7 May 2026, reporting at 9:30 AM. 📩📅
