NIT Silchar Recruitment 2026:
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, Assam, has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) posts.
NIT Silchar Vacancy Details:
Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No of Posts: 01
Scale of Pay: ₹37,000 per month + HRA @ 10% if institute accommodation is not provided.
Educational Qualification: M.E/M.Tech or B.E/B.Tech (with GATE/NET qualifying score) or equivalent qualification holder with first class in aggregate in Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering. OR M.Sc. in Atmospheric Physics/Climate Science or a relevant/allied discipline with minimum 60% marks.
Desirable Experience:
- Basic knowledge of GIS and Remote Sensing
- Working knowledge of atmospheric physics/climate sciences/hydro-climatology/hydrology
- Experience with programming languages: MATLAB or Python
Age Limit: 32 years as on the last date of advertisement. Relaxation in age limit will be permitted based on experience and qualification.
