Assam Public Service Commission has released an advertisement for the recruitment of various Officer & Director positions.

Assam Public Service Commission has invited online applications from eligible & intending candidates for the recruitment of 10 Conservation Officers, Assistant Directors, and Director Vacancies under various departments of Govt. of Assam.

APSC Recruitment 2023 Details

1. Director of Economics & Statistics

No of posts: 1 post

Category-wise vacancy:

• UR: 1

Name of department: Transformation and Development Department, Government of Assam

Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- GP: Rs. 16,900/- 

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 35 years of age and not more than 45 years of age as on 01/01/2023, Provided that for candidates belonging to the Assam Economics & Statistical Service there shall be no upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

(a) At least 2nd Class Master Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics from a Recognized University or its equivalent.

Or

Degree of a Recognized University with Mathematics, Statistics, Economics as a Subject and a Diploma Recognized by Govt. obtained after at least 2 (two) years Post Graduate Training in Statistics.

Note: A doctorate or Other Research Degree in Statistics Mathematics and economics is desirable.

(b) Not less than 10 (ten) years of experience in Statistical Works/investigation/Research in a Govt. Deptt, Or Commercial concern of repute or in conducting and guiding Research in Statistics in a University or institute of Training & Research as evidented by published work. Administrative experience for not less than 5 years in a responsible capacity.

2. Assistant Director

Name of department: Directorate of Town & Country Planning, Assam under Department of Housing & Urban Affairs

Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- GP: Rs. 13,300/- 

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 0l/01/2023.

Educational Qualification:

Post Graduate Degree in Planning from a recognized University/ institution (affiliated to UGC/ AICTE/ lTPl) with specialization in "Urban Planning or Regional Planning or Urban and Regional Planning or Town Planning or City Planning or Town and Country Planning or Town and Regional Planning or Transportation Planning or Housing or infrastructure Planning or Environmental Planning."

3. Conservation Officer (Gr II)

No of posts: 1 post

 

Category-wise vacancy:

• OBC/ MOBC: 1

 

Name of department: Directorate of Archaeology, Assam under Indigenous and Tribal Faith and Cultural Department

Scale of Pay: Rs. 22,000/- to 97,000/- GP: Rs. 9,400/-

 

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 0l/01/2023.

Educational Qualification: The candidate must possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute recognized by Govt.

Other Criteria of APSC Recruitment

Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Age Relaxation *: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

• SC: 5 years
• ST: 5 years
• OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years

Residentship*:

• (i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• (ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate / Voter ID card of the candidate or his/her parents will be treated as proof of residency along with the application form.
