The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 94 Drivers and Driver Operators in the Assam Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES).

1. Driver in Fire & Emergency Services
No of Posts: 90 Posts (For Male Candidates Only)
2. Driver Operator in Fire & Emergency Services
No of Posts: 4 Posts (For Male Candidates Only)
Pay Scale: ₹14,000 - ₹70,000 (Pay Band-2) + ₹5,200/- + Allowances.
Educational Qualification:
HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognised board.
Age Limit:
Must be between 18 to 25 years. (Born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2008).
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
Age Proof: HSLC/Matriculation Admit Card or Pass Certificate only.
Mandatory Requirement:
Valid Driving License for HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle).
Physical Standards:
- Height: 162.5 cm for General/OBC/MOBC/SC | 160 cm for ST(P)/ST(H)
- Chest: Minimum 80 cm for General/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P) | 78 cm for ST(H) (with 5 cm expansion)
- Medical Fitness: Must be in excellent physical and mental health with perfect vision (6/6 in one eye, 6/9 in the other). Cannot be color blind.
Selection Process:
The selection will test your physical endurance, driving expertise, and basic knowledge:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 40 Marks
- Race: 3200 meters (for men)
- Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm
- Medical Examination & Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Driving Test (Skill Test): 10 Marks (Specific to operating heavy vehicles. Pass marks: 5)
- Written Test: 50 Marks (100 MCQs on Arithmetic, English, GK, Reasoning, and Assam Studies)
- Oral/Viva Voce: 5 Marks
- Additional Weightage: Up to 5 marks for NCC certificates.
The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks out of 110.

- Register for a new Application ID or log in with your existing one.
- Select the relevant Fire & Emergency Services post.
- Fill in all details, upload documents, and submit the application.
- Mandatory: Upload your HMV Driving License.
- Download and print the Acknowledgement Slip.
Required Documents: Photo, Signature, HSLC Docs, HMV Driving License, Employment Exchange Card, Aadhaar, Caste Certificate (if applicable).
