The Directorate of Education, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Kokrajhar, Assam has released an advertisement for the recruitment of 746 Graduate Teacher (Arts, Science, Hindi, Sanskrit, Santali) posts.

Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 70,000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700 (Pay Band-2) plus other admissible allowances.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science):
- Arts Teacher: Graduate or Post Graduate in Arts/Commerce with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation from a recognized University AND B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
- Science Teacher: Graduate or Post Graduate in Science with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation AND B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Graduate Teacher (Hindi):
- Pravin / Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks + Degree qualification with 50% marks OR Post Graduate in Arts with 50% marks. OR B.A. with 50% marks having Hindi as one of the subjects with 50% marks OR Post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks (provided BA was passed with Hindi with 50% marks).
- B.T. / B.Ed. degree (Parangat is treated as B.Ed. for Hindi teaching).
Graduate Teacher (Sanskrit):
- Shastri with 50% marks + Degree qualification with 50% marks OR Post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks. OR B.A. with 50% marks having Sanskrit as one of the subjects with 50% marks OR Post Graduate Degree in Arts with 50% marks in Sanskrit.
- B.T. / B.Ed. degree from a recognized University.
Graduate Teacher (Santali):
- Arts Graduate or Post Graduate in Arts with at least 50% marks + B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
- Candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent exam with Santali Language as one of the subjects or possess a diploma in Santali Language issued by Axom Santali Sahitya Shobha.
Selection Process:
The selection will be based on a TET cum Recruitment Test consisting of a 140-mark written paper. The breakdown is as follows:
- Pedagogy: 50 marks
- About Assam and its People: 50 marks
- General English: 30 marks
- General Studies and Current Affairs: 10 marks
Additional Weightage (Up to 5 marks):
- NCC 'C' Certificate (5 marks) or 'B' Certificate (3 marks).
- Participation in recognized national-level sports representing Assam.
- Achievements in Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing the State at the national level.
- Candidates who cleared the earlier High School TET but were not appointed will get a 5% weightage of their TET marks (maximum 5 marks).
- An additional 5 marks will be awarded to eligible candidates who worked on a 6-month contractual basis with BTC in 2025 teaching Mathematics and Science in ME, High, and Higher Secondary Schools.
