1. Head of the Department (Education)
Number of Posts: 1
Qualifications Required:
- Postgraduate degree in Sciences, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Commerce, or Languages
- M.Ed.
- Ph.D. in Education
- 10 years of teaching experience for Professor or 8 years for Associate Professor in a teacher education institution
- Additional qualifications as per UGC norms
Desirable: Diploma or Degree in Educational Administration or Leadership
2. Assistant Professor in Liberal Discipline and Pedagogy
Subjects: History, Assamese/English, Communicative Skills in English, Communicative Skills in MIL, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology/Life Sciences, Botany/Life Sciences
Posts: 1 per subject
Qualifications Required:
- Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks
- B.Ed. with at least 55% marks
- NET/SLET/Ph.D. in the concerned subject as per UGC guidelines
- Desirable for Communicative Skills: M.Ed. or M.Ed. with specialization, Ph.D. in Education
3. Assistant Professor in Educational Studies
Number of Posts: 4
Qualifications Required:
- Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed.) with at least 55% marks
- NET/SLET/Ph.D. in Education
- Desirable: Master’s degree in Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology, or allied subjects
4. Part-Time Assistant Professor in Health & Physical Education

Qualifications Required:
- Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) with at least 55% marks
- Part-Time Assistant Professor in Career Guidance & Counselling

Qualifications Required: Appropriate qualification in Guidance and Counselling
