Educational Qualification:
- Graduate with a diploma/degree in Library Science from a recognized university
- Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications in a Library
Other Requirements: Valid Employment Exchange Registration Number for Assam
Age Limit:
- Un-Reserved: 18-40 years
- OBC/MOBC: 18-43 years
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 18-45 years
- PwBD: 18-50 years
Selection Process:
Stage I: Written Examination (120 marks)
- Objective type, 2 hours duration
- Sections: General Knowledge (40 marks), Library Science (40 marks), General Aptitude (20 marks), Assamese (20 marks, qualifying)
- Minimum 40% (8/20) in Assamese to qualify
Stage II: Interview/Viva Voce (20 marks)
- Top 3 candidates per vacancy (3:1 ratio) based on written exam merit
Final Selection: Based on total marks (Written + Interview); tie-breakers favor higher written marks, then senior age
Application Fees:
- For SC/ST: Rs. 250/-
- For all Others: Rs. 500/-
- PWD: Nil
- Last date for payment of fees is 06-11-2025, till bank transaction hours
