Gauhati High Court has invited ONLINE applications from eligible and intending candidates to recruit 39 Chauffeurs, Multi-Tasking Staff, Judicial Assistants, and Computer Assistants in the Principal Seat of the Gauhati High Court.

1. Chauffeur/ Driver
No of posts: 3 [UR]
Educational Qualification: Requires Class X (HSLC) and a valid LMV driving license.
2. Multi-Tasking Staff
No of posts: 26 [UR: 5, OBC/ MOBC: 12, STP: 7, STH: 2]
Educational Qualification: Minimum VIII passed, but not XII passed.
3. Judicial Assistant
No of posts: 8 [UR: 7, STP: 1]
Educational Qualification: Must be a graduate from a recognized university. Computer Assistant applicants also need a 6-month diploma/certificate in computer operations.
4. Computer Assistant
No of posts: 2 [OBC/ MOBC: 2]
Educational Qualification: Must be a graduate from a recognized university. Computer Assistant applicants also need a 6-month diploma/certificate in computer operations.
Age Limit (as of January 26, 2026):
- General (UR): Up to 40 years
- OBC/MOBC: Up to 43 years
- SC/ST: Up to 45 years
- PwBD: Up to 50 years
Selection Process:
Each post has a multi-stage selection process:
- MTS: Written exam (70 marks) + Viva Voce (20 marks)
- Chauffeur: Screening test → Driving test (40 marks) → Interview (20 marks)
- Computer Assistant: Written test (120 marks) → Skill test (30 marks) → Interview (20 marks)
- Judicial Assistant: Written test (120 marks) → Interview (20 marks)
Application Fees:
- SC/ST Candidates: ₹250
- All others (including OBC/MOBC/UR): ₹500
- PwBD Candidates: No fee
