The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released a walk-in interview notification for the recruitment of 18 Lecturer (Contractual) posts in Government Nursing Colleges under the Medical Education & Research (ME&R) Department, Assam. Eligible candidates can attend the interview with their original documents on the scheduled date.

Vacancy Details:
The recruitment includes the following nursing specializations:
- Lecturer of Nursing Foundation – 2 Posts
- Lecturer of Medical Surgical Nursing – 5 Posts
- Lecturer of Community Health Nursing – 2 Posts
- Lecturer of Child Health Nursing/Pediatric Nursing – 3 Posts
- Lecturer of Mental Health Nursing – 2 Posts
- Lecturer of Obstetrical & Gynecological Nursing – 2 Posts
- Lecturer of Nursing Administration – 2 Posts
Total Posts: 18
Salary: Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary of ₹75,000.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess M.Sc. Nursing in the relevant specialization with at least one year of teaching experience.
Applicants must also be:
- Registered with the Assam Nurses', Midwives' and Health Visitors' Council.
- Registered with the Employment Exchange of Assam.
Age Limit:
As on 01 January 2026, candidates should be:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years (up to 43 years)
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years (up to 41 years)
- PwD: 10 years as per Government of Assam rules
Reservation for women (RFW) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will be applicable as per government norms.

4. Submit one set of self-attested photocopies of all documents.
