RRB Para Medical Staff Recruitment 2026:
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under the Ministry of Railways have released CEN No. 05/2026 for the recruitment of various Paramedical Categories. A total of 590 vacancies have been notified across different RRBs and Railway Zones.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official RRB website.

RRB Para Medical Staff Vacancy 2026 - Overview
1. Nursing Superintendent
No. of Posts: 365
Pay Level: 7
Initial Pay: ₹44,900
Age Limit: 20 to 40 years
Qualification: Registered Nurse and Midwife with a 3-year General Nursing and Midwifery course from an institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, or B.Sc Nursing.
2. Dialysis Technician
No. of Post: 1
Pay Level: 6
Initial Pay: ₹35,400
Age Limit: 20 to 33 years
Qualification: B.Sc with a Diploma in Haemodialysis or two years of satisfactory in-house training/experience in haemodialysis work in a reputed institution. Relevant B.Sc degrees in Dialysis Technology are also accepted.
3. Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II
No. of Posts: 43
Pay Level: 6
Initial Pay: ₹35,400
Age Limit: 18 to 33 years
Qualification: B.Sc with Chemistry as a main/optional subject, plus a one-year Diploma in Health/Sanitary Inspector or one-year NTC in Health Sanitary Inspector from NCVT.
4. Audiologist & Speech Therapist

Age Limit: 21 to 30 years
Qualification: Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from a recognised university and registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
5. Pharmacist (Entry Grade)

Age Limit: 20 to 35 years
Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Allopathic) from a recognised university/institute and registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, or Doctor of Pharmacy with the required registration.
6. Radiographer X-Ray Technician

Pay Level: 5
Initial Pay: ₹29,200
Age Limit: 19 to 33 years
Qualification: 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry plus a 2-year Diploma in Radiography, X-Ray Technician or Radiodiagnosis Technology from a recognised institute. Several specified B.Sc and equivalent qualifications are also accepted.
7. ECG Technician

Age Limit: 18 to 33 years
Qualification: 10+2 or Graduation in Science with a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in ECG Laboratory Technology, Cardiology, Cardiology Technician or Cardiology Techniques from a reputed institution. The certificate must be at least one year in duration.
8. Optometrist
No. of Posts: 2
Pay Level: 4
Initial Pay: ₹25,500
Age Limit: 18 to 33 years
Qualification: B.Sc in Optometry or Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician of 3 to 4 years duration, with registration with the concerned council/licensing body.
9. Lab Assistant Grade II
No. of Posts: 31
Pay Level: 3
Initial Pay: ₹21,700
Age Limit: 18 to 33 years
Qualification: 12th/10+2 in Science plus Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or the prescribed Medical Lab certificate course.

Age Relaxation:
The age will be calculated as on 01 January 2027. Age relaxation is available for eligible reserved and other categories as prescribed in the notification. For example, SC/ST candidates get 5 years and OBC-NCL candidates get 3 years of upper-age relaxation, subject to the prescribed conditions and certificates.
Application Fee of RRB Para Medical Staff Vacancy
The examination fee is ₹500 for general candidates, out of which ₹400 will be refunded after appearing in the CBT, after applicable bank charges.
For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minority and EBC candidates, the fee is ₹250, with ₹250 refundable after appearing in the CBT, after applicable bank charges.
The fee must be paid online through internet banking, debit/credit card or UPI.
Selection Process:
The recruitment process will include a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.
The CBT will have 100 objective questions for 100 marks and will be conducted for 90 minutes. Eligible PwBD/PwD candidates using the scribe facility will get 120 minutes.
The indicative CBT distribution is:
- Professional Ability – 70 questions
- General Awareness – 10 questions
- General Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning – 10 questions
- General Science – 10 questions
There will be negative marking of 1/3 mark for every wrong answer.
