Central GST Commissionerate Guwahati Assam has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 11 Tax Assistant and Havaldar posts under Sports Quota Vacancy.

1. Tax Assistant
No of posts: 1 [UR]
Pay (As per 7th CPC): Level-4 in the pay matrix (Rs.25,500 -81,100)
Educational Qualification:
- 1) Degrees from a recognized University or equivalent.
- 2) Should have basic knowledge of computer applications.
- 3) Should possess a data entry speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour.
Note: The speed of 8000 key depressions per hour for data entry work is to be judged by conducting a speed test on the Electronic data processing machine
2. Havaldar
No of posts: 10 [UR: 9, OBC: 1]
Pay (As per 7th CPC): Level-1 in the pay matrix (Rs.18,000 -56,900)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from any recognized Board.
Note: Candidates will be required to possess the physical standards and pass physical tests as specified in the new Recruitment Rules.
Age Limit:
The candidate must be of 18 to 27 years of age on 13/09/2025. However, relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years (10 years in the case of those belonging to SC/ST category)
