Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 228 Special Educators in Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam.

Category-wise vacancy:
- Lower Primary (LP) Schools: 120
- Upper Primary (UP) Schools: 108
Pay Scale:
- LP: Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay Rs 7400/-
- UP: Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay Rs 8700/-
Educational Qualification:
1. Special Educator (LP School):
- a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- b) The candidate must have the ATET/CTET passed certificate for LP Schools.
2. Special Educator (UP School):
- a) Graduate with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- b) The candidate must have the ATET/CTET passed certificate for UP Schools.
Medium of Instruction: Either the Language-I or the Language-II of both ATET and CTET candidates shall match the medium of instruction of the School wherein the candidate wishes to apply.
Age Limit:
A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years for the unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/MOBC, and 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD), as on 1st August, 2025.

Interested and suitable candidates who have fulfilled the above-mentioned eligibility criteria may apply online through the official DEE Assam Recruitment Portal on or before the last date. Follow the step-by-step guide below -
Step 1: Scroll down and go to the Important Links section.
Step 2: Click on Apply Online Link.
Step 3: After that, a new web page will be opened.
Step 4: Fill in all personal and other details and upload Photographs.
Step 5: Pay the application fee, if needed, and click on the Submit button.
Step 6: Don't forget to take a printout of Your Application.
After submitting the online application, the candidates will get a Unique Number against the submitted application and will keep the printout of the unique Number for all future references.
Following documents need to be submitted in colour along with online application form:
- Passport Size Photograph.
- HSLC Admit Card.
- HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
- Any other Mark-sheet and Certificate of higher education.
- B.Ed. in Special Education Mark sheet and Certificate (Recognized by RCI).
- Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
- Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET.
- Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt. authority.
- Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board
- Working experience certificate (if any)
