Upper Age Relaxation is applicable:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Up to 36 Years
- SC/ST: Up to 38 Years
- PwBD (General/EWS): Up to 43 Years
- PwBD (OBC-NCL): Up to 46 Years
- PwBD (SC/ST): Up to 48 Years
Ex-Servicemen, Departmental Candidates, Widowed/Divorced Women, and Course Completed Act Apprentices are also eligible for additional relaxation as per rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed 10th class (or equivalent) or possess an ITI certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCVT as on the closing date of application (02.03.2026). Specific posts may have additional requirements; candidates must check Annexure-A of the notification.
Application Fee for RRB Group Vacancy 2026:
- General/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹500 (₹400 refundable after appearing in CBT)
- SC/ST/Ex-S/PwBD/Female/Transgender/Minority/EBC Candidates: ₹250 (fully refundable after appearing in CBT)
- Fee payment is online only via Internet Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
Selection Process of RRB Group D Recruitment 2026:
The recruitment will be conducted in four stages:
✅ Computer-Based Test (CBT): Single-stage objective type test of 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible scribe users). The test will have 100 questions (1 mark each) from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness. There is a negative marking of ⅓ mark for each wrong answer.
✅ Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying test involving physical tasks. PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Course Completed Act Apprentices are exempted.
✅ Document Verification (DV): Verification of original certificates.
✅ Medical Examination: Final appointment is subject to medical fitness as per Railway standards.
