The Assam Postal Circle, under India Post has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 414 Gramin Dak Sevak (BPM/ ABPM) Vacancies.
The recruitment is based on 10th Class marks, so there is no written examination or interview.

Assam Postal Circle has 414 vacancies, including:
- Cachar Division: 87 posts
- Darrang Division: 57 posts
- Dibrugarh Division: 7 posts
- Goalpara Division: 58 posts
- Guwahati Division: 47 posts
- Nagaon Division: 80 posts
- Nalbari Division: 9 posts
- Sibsagar Division: 59 posts
- Tinsukia Division: 7 posts
- RMS GH Division: 3 posts
GDS Salary:
- BPM: ₹12,000 – ₹29,380
- ABPM/Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed Class 10th/Secondary School Examination from a recognized board, with passing marks in Mathematics and English.
Candidates must also have studied the required local language up to Class 10th.
Other requirements include:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of cycling
- Adequate means of livelihood
Age Limit (as per India Post rules):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and EWS candidates as per Government of India norms.
Selection Process:
- Selection will be done purely on merit, based on Class 10 marks.
- There is no written exam or interview.
