Post Name: Executive Trainee
Total Vacancies: 330 (including backlog)
Discipline-Wise Vacancies:
- Mechanical: 125 posts
- Chemical: 40 posts
- Electrical: 65 posts
- Electronics: 50 posts
- Instrumentation: 15 posts
- Civil: 35 posts
(Includes UR, EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL reservations)
Stipend during training: ₹74,000 per month
Salary after training: Scientific Officer/C (Level 10, ₹56,100 + DA)
Educational Qualification:
- BE / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech in the relevant discipline.
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA).
GATE Requirement: Must have a valid GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 score in the same engineering discipline.
Age Limit (as on April 30, 2026):
- General/EWS: 26 years (born on or after April 30, 2000)
- OBC (NCL): 29 years (3 years relaxation)
- SC/ST: 31 years (5 years relaxation)
- PwBD: 36 to 41 years depending on category (10 years relaxation)
Application Fee:
- General / EWS / OBC (Male only): ₹500 (non-refundable)
- All Female candidates, SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, DODPKIA, and NPCIL employees: Exempted (No fee)
Selection Process:
- Shortlisting based on GATE 2024/2025/2026 scores (ratio 1:12)
- Personal Interview (Qualifying marks: UR – 70%, Reserved – 60%)
- Medical Fitness Test
Note: GATE score is NOT counted in final selection. Final merit is based on interview marks only.
