1. Executive Trainee (I&FS)
No of Posts: 10
Educational Qualification:
- BE, B.Tech, B.Sc (Engineering), 5-year Integrated M.Tech, or ME in Industrial & Fire Safety or related disciplines as per the approved list provided in the advertisement
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks
- Candidates appearing in final year examinations during 2026 may also apply; selected candidates must submit final results with minimum 60% marks by 30th November 2026.
2. Executive Trainee (Physics)
No of Posts: 20
Educational Qualification:
- Full-time M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics OR Integrated M.Sc. in Physics (Physical Science) or Applied Physics
- Physics and Mathematics at B.Sc level or as ancillary subjects is mandatory
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks in M.Sc. and also in B.Sc for non-integrated M.Sc. candidates
- Candidates appearing in final year examinations during 2026 may also apply; selected candidates must submit final results with minimum 60% marks by 30th November 2026.
Age Limit:
- General/EWS: 26 years.
- OBC(NCL): 29 years.
- SC/ST: 31 years.
- PwBD (General/EWS): 36 years.
- PwBD (OBC-NCL): 39 years.
- PwBD (SC/ST): 41 years.
- Ex-Servicemen/Dep-1984: 31 years.
Stipend & Training Benefits:
- Monthly Stipend: Rs. 74,000/-
- One-time Book Allowance: Rs. 30,000/-
- Lodging & Boarding: Mandatory, provided by NPCIL
- Training Duration: One-year orientation at NPCIL training facilities
- Post-Training Appointment: Scientific Officer/C (Level 10, Pay Matrix Rs. 56,100/- + DA)
- Service Bond: Rs. 9,18,000/- (personal indemnity bond) + undertaking to serve NPCIL for minimum 3 years after training

- Payable only by Male candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories
- Fully exempted categories: All female candidates, SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA), and serving NPCIL employees

Selection Process:
Stage I: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 120 minutes
- Total Questions: 100
- Maximum Marks: 300
- Marking Scheme: +3 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each wrong answer, no marks for unattempted questions
- Qualifying Marks for UR Category: 100 out of 300
- Qualifying Marks for Reserved Categories (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwBD): 90 out of 300
- Syllabus: Domain-specific professional subjects as detailed in the advertisement
- Shortlisting Ratio: Candidates are shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:12 based on CBT merit
Stage II: Personal Interview
- Total Marks: 100
- Qualifying Marks for UR Category: 70%
- Qualifying Marks for Reserved Categories: 60%
- CBT marks have no weightage in final selection
- Final selection is based entirely on interview performance, subject to medical fitness
