The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the much-awaited advertisement for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2025. This is a golden opportunity for candidates aspiring for prestigious state services like Assam Civil Service (ACS), Assam Police Service (APS), and other administrative posts.

Online applications start from April 13, 2026, and the Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled for July 5, 2026 (Sunday).

Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) from a recognized university or institution.

Age Limit (as on January 1, 2025):

• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 38 years

Age Relaxation (Upper age limit):

• SC/STP/STH: 5 years (up to 43 years)
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years (up to 41 years)
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years (regardless of category)

Other Mandatory Requirements:

• Must be registered with a District Employment Office of Assam.
• Must be an original inhabitant of Assam (valid PRC or other proof required).
• Must submit a "Small Family Norms" declaration (Form A) at the time of application.

Examination Centres (Preliminary):

The Preliminary Examination will be held at 35 centres across Assam, including:

Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Tezpur, Nagaon, Barpeta, Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Diphu, Haflong, and many more.

Main Examination will be held only at Guwahati Centre.

No request for change of centre will be entertained.

How to Apply ?

Follow these steps carefully. Only online applications are accepted.

Step 1: Visit the APSC recruitment website: https://apsrecruitment.in

Step 2: If you are a new user, click on 'Register Here' and complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process. Use a valid and active email ID and mobile number.

Step 3: Log in using your registered email/mobile number and password.

Step 4: Fill the application form carefully. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

Step 5: Upload the required documents in PDF format (each file not exceeding 4 MB):

• Age proof (Class 10 / HSLC admit card or certificate)
• Graduation degree certificate and all semester/year-wise marksheets (in a single PDF)
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• PwBD certificate (if applicable)
• Valid Employment Exchange Registration Card
• Proof of original inhabitant of Assam (PRC / Caste certificate / Employment Exchange card)
• Small Family Norms declaration (Form A)
• Undertaking (if already in government service)
• Recent photograph (50 KB – 200 KB, not older than 3 months)
• Signature (50 KB – 200 KB)

Step 6: Preview the application and check that all uploaded documents are clear and legible.

Step 7: Click 'Proceed to Pay' and pay the prescribed fee online.

Step 8: After successful payment, an auto-generated confirmation email/SMS will be sent.

Step 9: Take a printout of the final submitted application form and keep it for future reference.

Important: No editing is allowed after final submission. Fill carefully.
