OKD Guwahati Recruitment 2026:
Omeo Kumar Das Institute of Social Change & Development (OKD), Guwahati, Assam, has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 02 Assistant Professor and Professor vacancies.
OKD Guwahati Vacancy Details:
1. Assistant Professor (Contractual)
No of Posts: 1
Disciplines: Economics / Geography
Salary: Rs. 70,000/- per month
Educational Qualification:
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is permissible) in Economics/Geography from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, or a similar test of the UGC, like SLET/ SET. The Academic score as specified in Table-1, Schedule-IV, is considerable for short-listing of the candidates for interview. Candidates with Ph. D and/or proven research experience across states of Northeast India and quality publications will get preference. The candidates must enclose at least one publication as book/research/policy paper.
2. Professor (Regular)
No of Posts: 1
Disciplines: Economics/Geography/Statistics (with specialization in Econometrics)
Salary: Level-14
Educational Qualification:
- A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is permissible) in any of the disciplines as mentioned above from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
- ]The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/relevant discipline and a minimum of ten years of research experience at National Level Institutions working as Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/Professor, or teaching and research experience at equivalent level as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor at University/College with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
- The applicant must have proven experience of research with evidence of published work, and a minimum of 10 research publications as books and/or research/policy papers. The total research score eligibility criterion for the Post of Professor is one hundred twenty (120) as per the Criterion laid down in Table 2, Schedule IV of the Omeo Kumar Das Institute of Social Change and Development (Faculty & Other Academic Staff) Services Regulations 2022.
