For South Andaman (Mazdoor): Total 296 vacancies across various divisions like DFO South Andaman, DFO (FE&PD), Mill Division, Wildlife, etc.
For South Andaman (Other Group C Posts): Total 52 vacancies for Raftman, Grader, Asst. Sawyer, Beltman, Oiler, Timber Recorder, Tallyman, and Grinder under the Mill Division, Chatham.
For North & Middle Andaman (Mazdoor): Total 196 vacancies across divisions in Baratang, Diglipur, Mayabunder, and Middle Andaman.
Note: Reservation for ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and Meritorious Sports Persons is applicable as per A&N Administration rules.
Age Limit:
- Male: 18 to 33 years
- Female: 18 to 38 years
Age Relaxation is available for reserved categories:
- ST Category: +5 years (Male), +5 years (Female – up to 43 years)
- OBC Category: +3 years (Male), +3 years (Female – up to 41 years)
- Central Govt Employees & Meritorious Sports Persons: Up to 40 years (45 for ST)
Educational Qualification:
- Essential: Must have passed Secondary School Examination (10th Standard) from a recognized board.
- For Technical Posts (Grader, Asst. Sawyer, etc.): ITI Certificate in the concerned trade is required.
- For Raftman: Must know swimming/diving.
- Physical Requirement: Must have good physique and qualify in the trade test (where applicable).
- Desirable: Knowledge of Hindi.
Selection Process: Physical Test Only (No Written Exam):
The selection is based purely on your physical performance. There is no written test. The process has three levels:
✅ Level-I: Running Test (For Shortlisting)
- Male: 10 km
- Female: 8 km
- Only 15 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted from this round.
✅ Level-II: Long Jump (Qualifying)
- General/OBC Male: 12 feet | ST Male: 9 feet
- General/OBC Female: 9 feet | ST Female: 7 feet
- You get three attempts to clear this.
✅ Level-III: Weight Carrying Test (Final Selection)
- Male: Carry 30 kg for 500 meters
- Female: Carry 20 kg for 500 meters
- A merit list will be prepared based on the time taken to complete this distance.
Application Fee:
- Fee: ₹100
- Exemption: Women candidates and ST candidates are exempted from paying any fee.
- Payment can be made online via UPI, Net Banking, or Credit/Debit Card.
