The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an advertisement for the recruitment of 1871 Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces posts.

- Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Male: 205
- Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Female: 112
- Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Male: 1320
- Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF-Male: 234
Scale of Pay:
- Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: The post carries pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-Rs.1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.
- Sub-Inspector (Executive) – (Male/Female) in Delhi Police: The post carries pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-Rs.1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group ‘C’ by Delhi Police.
- Sub-Inspector (FIRE)- (Male) in CISF: The post carries pay scale of Level-6 (Rs. 35,400-Rs.1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.
Educational Qualification:
- For SI in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent
- For SI (FIRE) in CISF: Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics OR Matriculation with three years diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobile, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical, Telecommunication Engineering
Age Limit:
- For all posts except SI (FIRE): 20-25 years (born not earlier than August 2, 2001, and not later than August 1, 2006)
- For SI (FIRE) in CISF: 18-30 years (born not earlier than August 2, 1996, and not later than August 1, 2008)
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
- Widows/Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (40 years for SC/ST)
- Departmental Candidates (UR/EWS): Up to 30 years
- Departmental Candidates (OBC): Up to 33 years
- Departmental Candidates (SC/ST): Up to 35 years

Step 2: Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if not already done (OTR from the old website ssc.nic.in is not valid)
Step 3: Log in and click on the 'Apply' link for SI in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination 2026
Step 4: Fill the Online Application Form
Step 5: Choose your examination centers (3 centers within the same region)
Step 6: Capture your live photograph (no pre-existing photo allowed)
Step 7: Upload your signature (JPEG, 10-20 KB)
Step 8: Select medium for CBE (Hindi/English)
Step 9: Indicate NCC certificate details (if applicable)
Step 10: Pay the application fee (if applicable)
Step 11: Submit the form and take a printout
