1. Professor (Medical)
No of Posts: 03
Department-wise Vacancies:
- Cardiology: 01
- CTVS (Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery): 01
- Psychiatry: 01
Pay Scale: Level 13: ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900 per month
Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years (relaxable for Government servants/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD)
Educational Qualifications:
- Recognized MBBS degree (included in First/Second Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule of IMC Act, 1956)
- Post-Graduate Degree in the respective specialty/super-specialty:
- Cardiology: DM (Cardiology)
- CTVS: M.Ch (Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery) / M.Ch (Thoracic Surgery) / M.Ch (Cardio Surgery) / M.Ch (Vascular Surgery)
- Psychiatry: MD (Psychiatry) / MD (Psychological Medicine) / MD (Medicine) with Diploma in Psychological Medicine / Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin) of 2 years / Diploma in Psychiatry (McGill University, Canada)
Experience:
- 12 years standing in the profession with extensive practical and administrative experience
- At least 4 years experience as an Associate Professor in the concerned department in a medical college or recognized teaching institution after the requisite postgraduate degree
2. Associate Professor (Medical)

- Neurology: 01
- Cardiology: 01
- Urology: 01
- Radiology: 01
Pay Scale: Level 12: ₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200 per month
Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years (relaxable for Government servants/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD)
Essential Qualifications:
- Recognized MBBS degree
- Post-Graduate Degree in the respective specialty/super-specialty:
- Neurology: DM (Neurology)
- Cardiology: DM (Cardiology)
- Urology: M.Ch (Urology)
- Radiology: MD (Radio-diagnosis) / MD (Radiology) / MS (Radiology)
Experience:
- 5 years experience in the concerned specialty/super-specialty after obtaining the first postgraduate degree
- For DM/M.Ch holders of 5 years duration, senior post-graduate residency in the last part of the DM/M.Ch shall be counted towards experience

- GI Medicine: DM (Medical Gastroenterology) / DM (Gastroenterology) / MD (Medicine) / MD (Pediatrics) with 2 years special training in Gastroenterology
- Nephrology: DM (Nephrology)
- Neurology: DM (Neurology)
- Pulmonary Medicine: MD (Tuberculosis) / MD (Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases) / MD (Medicine) with Diploma in Tuberculosis Diseases or Chest Diseases
- Transfusion Medicine: DM (Immunology) / DM (Immuno Haematology and Blood Transfusion) / MD (Pathology or Bacteriology or Haematology) with 2 years teaching experience or special training in Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion
- Radiology: MD (Radio-diagnosis) / MD (Radiology) / MS (Radiology)
- Psychiatry: MD (Psychiatry) / MD (Psychological Medicine) / MD (Medicine) with Diploma in Psychological Medicine / Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin) of 2 years / Diploma in Psychiatry (McGill University, Canada)
Experience:
- At least 3 years teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned specialty/super-specialty in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first postgraduate degree
- For DM/M.Ch holders of 5 years duration, senior post-graduate residency in the last part of the DM/M.Ch shall be counted towards teaching experience
