Assam University, Silchar, Assam has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Guest Faculty in the Department of Ecology and Environmental Science posts.

Assam University Vacancy Details:
Name of Post: Guest Faculty in the Department of Ecology and Environmental Science
No of Posts: 01
Scale of Pay: ₹1,500 per lecture with a ceiling of ₹50,000 per month.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must meet either of the following essential qualifications:-
Option A:
- A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned, relevant, or allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016.
- Candidates registered for Ph.D. before 11 July 2009 must meet specific conditions, including regular mode Ph.D., thesis evaluated by two external examiners, open viva voce, two research papers (at least one in a refereed journal), and two conference presentations.
Option B:
Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university or institution ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings by QS, THE, or ARWU (Shanghai).

Eligible candidates may attend the walk-in interview on 28 September 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Conference Hall, Department of Ecology and Environmental Science, Assam University, Silchar. Candidates must bring the duly filled prescribed application form along with self-attested copies of all supporting documents.
