SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026:
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026, a massive recruitment drive for Group C posts. With approximately 2536 vacancies for Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operator positions across various Ministries, Departments, and Offices of the Government of India, this is a golden opportunity for 12th pass candidates.

- Lower Division Clerk(LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant

Exam Centres in Assam: Dibrugarh (5102), Guwahati (Dispur) (5105), Jorhat (5107), Silchar (5111) and Tezpur (5112).
Pay Scale:
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level: Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 - 63,200)
- Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level: Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 - 81,100) and Level-5 (Rs. 29,200 - 92,300)
- Data Entry Operator, Grade 'A': Pay Level: Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 - 81,100)
Educational Qualification:
- For DEO/DEO Grade 'A' in specific Departments (Ministry of Consumer Affairs, SSC, Ministry of Culture): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent
- For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade 'A' (except above): 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University
Age Limit:
- Age Range: 18-27 years
- Born between: August 2, 1999, and August 1, 2008
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (13 years for OBC, 15 years for SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
- Central Government Civilian Employees: Up to 40 years (45 years for SC/ST)
- Widows/Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (40 years for SC/ST)

- Exempted: Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation

Step 2: Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if not already done (OTR from the old website ssc.nic.in is not valid)
Step 3: Log in and click on the 'Apply' link for CHSL 2026
Step 4: Fill the Online Application Form
Step 5: Choose your examination centers (3 centers within the same region)
Step 6: Capture your live photograph (no pre-existing photo allowed)
Step 7: Upload your signature (JPEG, 10-20 KB)
Step 8: Select medium for CBE (Hindi/English/any language from Annexure-XV)
Step 9: Select medium for Typing Test (English or Hindi)
Step 10: Pay the application fee (if applicable)
Step 11: Submit the form and take a printout
