Assam Town & Country Planning Recruitment 2026:
The Directorate of Town & Country Planning, Assam has released an advertisement for the recruitment of 02 Chief Climate Officer and Project Planning Officer posts.
Assam Town & Country Planning Vacancy Details:
1. Chief Climate Officer
Number of Posts: 1
Remuneration: Maximum fixed remuneration of ₹1.75 lakhs per month (subject to statutory deductions)
Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Environmental Planning, Ecology, or Environmental Engineering. Ph.D. is preferred if in the aforesaid subjects.
Experience: Preferred 12 years of experience with at least 3 years as Director/Team Manager/Team Leader/Project Manager.
Work Experience: Must have worked in an Advisory/Consultancy/PMC/SPV for government or government agencies at City/State/Regional/National level. Experience in projects related to Climate Change/Environmental Planning/Ecological conservation integrated with urban management. Technical proficiency in analytical software (Google/Adobe/Microsoft ecosystem and R, Python, SPSS, STATA, or ArcGIS).

2. Project Planning Officer
Number of Posts: 1
Remuneration: Fixed remuneration of ₹1.55 lakhs per month (subject to statutory deductions)
Educational Qualification: Master's degree in Urban Planning/Urban Design.
Experience: Preferred 10 years of relevant project experience, especially outside the cities of North-eastern states.
Work Experience: Must have experience in project planning and DPR preparation at city-level in urban projects like urban parks/forest, water body restoration, greening projects, projects addressing heat islands and air quality, landscaping, etc. Experience in project monitoring and evaluation for government clients. Understanding of project funding and ability to prepare broad cost estimates. Experience in report preparation for programme funds and budgets. Proficiency in design software for detailed drawings and presentations and/or GIS analysis preferred.
