Salary: UGC scale of pay (Academic Level 10) and other allowances as per rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must secure at least 55% marks (or an equivalent Grade Point Scale) at the Master’s Degree level in the concerned subject and must clear the NET/SLET/SET conducted by the UGC/CSIR. Candidates who have got a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided for SC/ST/PWD candidates. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided to the Ph.D. holders who have obtained their Master's degree prior to 19.09.1991 (As per Govt. O.M.No. AHE. 407/ 2017/44 dated 08-11-2018). Candidates have to acquire qualifications as on the last date of submission of the application. Eligibility like M.Phil./ Ph.D. /publications must be acquired and submitted on the date of interview and not beyond.
Age Limit: The age of the candidate should not be more than 38 years as on 1 January 2026. Age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
