ITBP Recruitment 2026:

The Indo-Tibetan Police Force (ITBP) has released an advertisement for the recruitment of 126 Constable (General Duty) – Sportspersons posts.

ITBP Vacancy Details:

Name Post: Constable (General Duty) – Sportspersons

No of Posts: 126 (72 Male, 54 Female)

Pay Scale: Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) as per 7th CPC

Job Location: Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board.

Age Limit: 18 to 23 years as on 1 November 2026.

Age Relaxation:
  • UR/EWS/OBC: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 8 years
  • SC/ST: 10 years
  • Departmental candidates: Up to 40 years for UR/EWS/OBC and 45 years for SC/ST with 3 years continuous service.

Sports Qualification: Candidates must have participated or won medals in competitions held between 1 January 2024 and 1 November 2026 at the following levels:
  • International competitions (with clearance from Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports)
  • National Championships/National Games (represented State/UT and won medals up to 3rd place)
  • Inter-University Competitions/Khelo India University Games (won medals up to 3rd place)
  • Khelo India Youth Games/Winter Games (age category above 18 years, won medals up to 3rd place)

Physical Standards:

Height:
  • Male: 170 cm (relaxation for ST, North Eastern States, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas, and GTA candidates)
  • Female: 157 cm (relaxation for ST, North Eastern States, and GTA candidates)

Chest (Male):
  • Unexpanded: 80 cm
  • Minimum Expansion: 5 cm
  • Relaxation for ST, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas, and North Eastern candidates

Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Selection Process:

  • Documentation: Verification of original documents including age, education, caste, sports achievement, and relaxation certificates.
  • Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of height, chest, and weight as per standards.
  • Sports Trial Test: Qualifying in nature, 40 marks, minimum cut-off 20 marks. Exempted for candidates who have represented India in international sports events.
  • Detailed Medical Examination (DME): As per Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for CAPFs.
  • Review Medical Examination (RME): For candidates declared unfit in DME, if they give written consent.

Application Fee:

  • Male candidates of UR/OBC/EWS: ₹100
  • Female candidates and SC/ST candidates: Exempted
