The Directorate General of Civil Defence (DGCD) and the Corps of Home Guards (CGHG), Assam, under the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) has invited ONLINE applications from eligible and intending candidates for the recruitment of 69 Grade IV Staff Vacancy.

- Cook: 27 posts (Male: 10, Female: 17)
- Water Carrier: 11 posts (Male: 4, Female: 7)
- Dhobi: 8 posts (Male: 4, Female: 4)
- Barber: 12 posts (Male: 6, Female: 6)
- Cobbler: 11 posts (Male: 7, Female: 4)
Pay Scale: ₹12,000 – ₹52,000 (Pay Band-1) + Grade Pay ₹3,900 + other allowances
Educational Qualification: Minimum Class VIII passed. Maximum allowed: HSSLC/Class XII passed.
Age Limit:
- 18–40 years as on 01-01-2026.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
Other Criteria of DGCD & CGHG Recruitment 2026:
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent residents of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Physical & Medical Standards:
✅ Height:
- Male: 160 cm (General/OBC/SC), 158 cm (ST)
- Female: 150 cm (General/OBC/SC), 147.5 cm (ST)
✅ Chest (Male only):
- Normal: 80 cm (Gen/OBC/SC/ST(P)), 77 cm (ST(H))
- Expansion: +5 cm
✅ Medical Fitness: Must be free from chronic illnesses and physical deformities. Eyesight: 6/6 in one eye, 6/9 in the other without correction.
Selection Process & Grade IV Vacancy:
The recruitment is simple and skill-based:
- Document & Biometric Verification
- Medical Examination
- Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying only
- Trade Proficiency Test (TPT) – 50 marks
- (Expert panel will assess hands-on skills in your trade)
✅ Final Merit: Based on TPT score.
✅ Qualifying Marks: 33% (17 out of 50).
