Oil India Limited (OIL) has released an advertisement for the recruitment of 03 Deputy Chief Chemist, Deputy Chief Engineer, and Economist posts.
Oil India Limited Vacancy Details:
1. Deputy Chief Chemist
Number of Posts: 01 (OBC-NCL)
Pay Scale: Rs. 90,000 - 2,40,000
Upper Age Limit: 42 years (as on October 10, 2026)
Educational Qualification:
- Postgraduate Degree in Chemistry of minimum 2 years' duration with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/Grade
- Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at graduation level
Experience: Minimum 9 years of post-qualification relevant work experience as a Chemist (engaged in Drilling and/or Workover Operations) or as a Drilling Fluid Specialist, or in line functional work experience in Executive cadre in State/Central Government Departments/Organisations/Undertakings/Public Sector Enterprises/Autonomous Bodies, and/or private sector organisations/companies
2. Deputy Chief Engineer
Number of Posts: 01 (UR)
Pay Scale: Rs. 90,000 - 2,40,000
Upper Age Limit: 37 years (as on October 10, 2026)
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering of minimum 4 years' duration with minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA/Grade
- Master's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Petroleum Technology of minimum 2 years' duration with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/Grade along with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in any discipline of minimum 4 years' duration
Experience: Minimum 9 years of post-qualification relevant work experience as a Reservoir Engineer or in line functional work experience in Executive cadre
3. Economist
Number of Posts: 01 (UR)
Pay Scale: Grade D: Rs. 90,000 - 2,40,000; Grade E/F: Rs. 1,00,000 - 2,60,000
Upper Age Limit: 39 years (as on October 10, 2026)
Educational Qualification: Postgraduate Degree in Economics or Business Economics with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/Grade
Experience:
- For Grade D: Minimum 9 years
- For Grade E: Minimum 13 years
- For Grade F: Minimum 17 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC-NCL: 3 years
- PwBD: As per Government of India directives
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- J&K Domicile: 5 years (for those domiciled between January 1, 1980, and December 31, 1989)
- PhD in a relevant discipline: 3 years
- Internal OIL candidates: Up to 54 years
- Maximum upper age limit: 54 years (after all relaxations)
