Educational Qualification for IOCL Apprentice Vacancy 2025:
The refinery is offering apprenticeship opportunities across multiple trades and disciplines. Here are the key roles:
- Trade Apprentice - Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – Requires a 3-year B.Sc. in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry.
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter) – Requires Matriculation with an ITI in Fitter trade.
- Trade Apprentice (Boiler) – Requires a 3-year B.Sc. in relevant subjects.
- Technician Apprentice – Disciplines include Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation. A 3-year Diploma in the respective engineering field is required.
- Trade Apprentice – Secretarial Assistant – Requires a 3-year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.
- Trade Apprentice – Accountant – Requires B.Com.
- Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator – For both freshers and skill certificate holders.
Age Limit:
Minimum 18 years, maximum 24 years as on 30-11-2025. Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/EWS candidates as per government norms.

Selection Process:
There is no written test. Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. First-time apprenticeship applicants will be given preference. In case of a tie, age and matriculation marks will be considered.

Candidates meeting the above prescribed eligibility criteria should visit our IOCL website www.iocl.com /www.iocrefrecruit.in from 28-11-2025 till 18-12-2025.
Eligible candidates must follow a two-step application process:
Step I: Register and apply on the respective portal:
- For Trade Apprentices (Codes 101, 102, 103, 108, 109, 110, 111) – Register on the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).
- For Technician Apprentices (Codes 104, 105, 106, 107) – Register on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in).
Note: Both steps are mandatory. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
