The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 124 Group A, B & C Vacancies under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) through the Direct Recruitment Quota Examination 2026 (DRQ2026) on an All India Competitive Examination basis.

1. Assistant Secretary

Reservation: Vacancies are reserved for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India norms.

Educational Qualifications:

• Assistant Secretary: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Assistant Professor & Assistant Director: Postgraduate degree with 55% marks; B.Ed./M.Ed./NET/Ph.D. desirable.
• Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Economics/Accounts or CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance).
• Superintendent: Bachelor’s degree with computer knowledge.
• Junior Translation Officer: Master’s degree in Hindi/English with translation experience.
• Junior Accountant: 12th pass with Accountancy/Commerce subjects and typing speed of 35 w.p.m. (English) or 30 w.p.m. (Hindi).
• Junior Assistant: 12th pass with typing speed of 35 w.p.m. (English) or 30 w.p.m. (Hindi).

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on a multi-tier examination:

• Tier-I: Objective (MCQ) test – qualifying in nature
  
• Tier-II: Objective & Descriptive written test
• Tier-III: Interview (for Group A & some Group B posts) / Skill Test (typing) for Group C and some Group B posts

Exam Cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi/NCR, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Patna, Pune, Guwahati, and more.

Application Fee:

Group A Posts:

• UR/OBC/EWS: ₹1750 (₹1500 Application Fee + ₹250 Processing Fee)
  
• SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-Servicemen: ₹250 (Processing Fee only)

Group B & C Posts:

• UR/OBC/EWS: ₹1050 (₹800 Application Fee + ₹250 Processing Fee)
• SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-Servicemen: ₹250 (Processing Fee only)
• Board’s Regular Employees: No fee

Payment Mode: Online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI.
