The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, has announced a major recruitment opportunity for hundreds of candidates across multiple departments. With four new official notifications released on 12 December 2025, the board is inviting online applications from 16 December 2025 to 16 January 2026 for various posts in the Assam Police, Fire & Emergency Services, Prison Department, APRO, Forest Department, and more.

Pay scale:
Starting from ₹12,000–52,000 (Pay Band-I) up to ₹14,000–70,000 (Pay Band-II), plus grade pay and allowances
Educational Qualifications:
- Graduate (Arts/Science/Commerce) for SI (UB) and Assistant Jailor
- B.Sc in Electronics/IT/Computer Science or Diploma in relevant fields for SI (Communication)
- HSLC or equivalent for Driver, Constable (AB), and other support roles
- Class VI to XII pass (with preference for skill/work certificates) for Safai Karmachari
Age limit:
Ranges from 18 to 40 years, depending on the position, with relaxations for reserved categories
Selection Process:
Candidates will be evaluated through a structured process that may include:
- Written Test
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical & Medical Standards Check
- Driving / Trade / Psychometric Tests (as applicable)
- Viva-Voce or Oral Interview
- NCC certificate holders get bonus marks
