The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT), Regional Bench in Guwahati, has released a circular inviting applications for various Group A, B, and C posts. This is a great opportunity for eligible candidates already working in Central or State Government, Tribunals, Commissions, Courts, or Statutory Bodies to join the Tribunal on a deputation or absorption basis.

1. Principal Private Secretary (PPS)
No of Posts: 1
Pay Matrix: Level 11 (₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700)
Group: Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Ministerial
Eligibility: Stenographers from Central Government, State Government, Supreme Court, High Courts, District Courts, or Statutory/Autonomous Bodies with pensionary benefits, holding:
- An analogous post on a regular basis, OR
- Six years of regular service in Level 8 of the Pay Matrix, OR
- Seven years of regular service in Level 7 of the Pay Matrix.
Desirable: Knowledge of computer operation.
2. Tribunal Officer / Section Officer

Pay Matrix: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
Group: Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
Eligibility: Officers from Central Government, State Government, Supreme Court, High Courts, Subordinate Courts, or Statutory/Autonomous Bodies with pensionary benefits, holding:
- An analogous post on a regular basis, OR
- Five years of regular service in Level 5 of the Pay Matrix (₹29,200 – ₹92,300).
- Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Degree from a recognized university.
- Two years of experience in personnel, administrative, or judicial work.
Desirable: Degree in Law.
3. Assistant

Pay Matrix: Level 6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)
Group: Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Ministerial
Eligibility: Officers from Central Government, State Government, Supreme Court, High Courts, Subordinate Courts, or Statutory/Autonomous Bodies with pensionary benefits, holding:
- An analogous post on a regular basis, OR
- Ten years of regular service as an Upper Division Clerk (UDC) in Level 4 of the Pay Matrix (₹25,500 – ₹81,100).
- Degree from a recognized university.
- Two years of experience in establishment, administration, or accounts.
4. Tribunal Master / Stenographer Grade-I

Pay Matrix: Level 6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)
Group: Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Ministerial
Eligibility: Stenographers from Central Government, Armed Forces, State Government, Supreme Court, High Courts, or District Courts, holding:

5. Junior Accounts Officer

7. Stenographer Grade-II

Group: Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
Eligibility: Candidates holding analogous posts on a regular basis in Central Government, State Government, Tribunals, Commissions, Statutory Bodies, or Courts.
Essential Qualifications:
- 12th class pass or equivalent.
- Skill test: Dictation @ 80 words per minute for 10 minutes; transcription in 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi).
- Six months of computer training.
8. Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

Pay Matrix: Level 4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)
Group: Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
Eligibility: Officials from Central Government, State Government, Tribunals, Commissions, Statutory Bodies, or Courts, holding:

- Eight years of regular service in the grade of LDC (Pay Band-1 with GP of ₹1,900).
9. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

Eligibility: Candidates holding analogous posts on a regular basis in Central Government, State Government, Tribunals, Commissions, Statutory Bodies, or Courts.
Essential Qualifications:
- 12th class pass or equivalent.
- Typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on computer.
- Six months of computer training.
Desirable: Graduate from a recognized university.
10. Data Entry Operator

Eligibility: Officers from Central Government, State Government, Tribunals, Commissions, Statutory Bodies, or Courts, holding:

- Two years of regular service in Pay Band-1 with GP of ₹1,900.
Essential Qualifications:
- 12th class pass or equivalent.
- Diploma or Certificate in IT/Computer field.
- Data entry speed of not less than 8,000 key depressions per hour.
Desirable: Graduate from a recognized university.
11. Staff Car Driver

Pay Matrix: Level 2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200)
Group: Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
Eligibility: Selection will be based on a driving test. Candidates must be:
- Holding an analogous post, OR
- A regular Despatch Rider, OR
- A regular Group ‘C’ employee with three years of driving experience.
Essential Qualifications:
- 10th standard pass.
- Valid driving license for motor cars.
- Three years of driving experience.
- Knowledge of motor mechanism (ability to remove minor defects).
Desirable: Three years of service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers.
12. Library Attendant

13. Despatch Rider

Eligibility: Selection based on a driving test. Candidates must be:
- Holding an analogous post, OR
- A Group ‘C’ employee with three years of driving experience.
Essential Qualifications:
- 10th standard pass with the ability to read English and Hindi or the regional language.
- Valid driving license for a motorcycle, scooter, or auto rickshaw.
- Three years of driving experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle mechanism (ability to remove minor defects).
14. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) / Peon

Eligibility: Persons holding an analogous post in Central Government, State Government, Tribunals, Commissions, Statutory Bodies, or Courts.
Essential Qualification: 10th standard pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
