Directorate of Land Records & Surveys, Assam has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 552 Land Records Assistant (LRA) vacancies to be filled on a one-time basis under the Assam Land Records Subordinate Service Rules (Amendment) 2025. Post Name: Land Records Assistant (LRA)

Pay Scale: PB-2 (₹14,000 – ₹70,000) + Grade Pay ₹6,200 per month

Job Location: Various locations under the Directorate of Land Records & Surveys, Assam

Educational Qualification:

Passed HSLC or equivalent examination from a recognized Central or State Board.

Must have successfully completed the Recorder Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from the Assam Surveys and Settlement Training Centre, Dakhangaon, Guwahati.

Proficiency in computers with typing speed of 30 words per minute in Assamese or Bengali (Unicode).

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years
Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on a two-stage process:

Stage 1: Written Examination (MCQ Pattern) – 80 Marks
  • Mathematics (Class X level): 10 Marks
  • Conventional Survey: 50 Marks
  • Modern Survey: 20 Marks
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer

Stage 2: Skill Test (Computer Proficiency) – 20 Marks
  • Assamese/Bengali Unicode typing
  • Basic computer operations
  • Document preparation and formatting
  • Data entry, file handling, and printing

✅ Minimum Qualifying Marks
  • UR Category: 32 marks (Written) + 8 marks (Skill Test)
  • OBC/MOBC/STP/STH/SC/PwD: 24 marks (Written) + 6 marks (Skill Test)

Step 3: After that, a new web page will be opened.

Step 4: Fill in all personal and other details and upload Photographs. 

Step 5: Pay the application fee, if needed, and click on the Submit button.

Step 6: Don't forget to take a printout of Your Application.

Note: Upload a recent passport-size photograph, signature, and RCCC certificate (as per specifications). Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.

  • Class X/XII admit card or pass certificate (for age proof)
  • Marksheets and certificates of all examinations
  • RCCC passed the certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability certificate (if applicable)
