LRA Recruitment 2026:
The Office of the Director of Land Records & Surveys, Assam has released a recruitment advertisement for Land Record Assistant (LRA) posts. A total of 579 vacancies are available under the District Commissioners' establishments in Assam.
Eligible candidates who have completed the required Recorder Certificate Class Course Training (RCCC) can apply online through the designated website.

Job Location: Assam
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed the Recorder Certificate Class Course Training from the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-19, and must have been declared proficient in the mandated examination by the official authority.
The qualification must have been obtained within the prescribed period mentioned in the advertisement.
Candidates must also have computer typing proficiency of at least:
- 30 WPM in English, and
- 15 WPM in Assamese/Bengali.
Age Limit:
The candidate must be:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
The age will be calculated as on 1 January 2026.
Age relaxation will be applicable as per the Assam Government rules mentioned in the advertisement.
The age will be determined from the Class-X/Class-XII examination admit card, pass certificate or marksheet issued by the recognized board/council.
Selection Process:
The selection will be based on a Written Examination and Skill Test (Computer Proficiency), followed by document verification for shortlisted candidates.

The written test will carry 80 marks and will consist of objective-type MCQs.
The subject-wise distribution is:
- Mathematics (Class X standard): 10 marks
- Conventional Survey: 50 marks
- Modern Survey: 20 marks
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
