National Informatics Centre (NIC) has released an advertisement for the recruitment of 376 Scientific / Technical Assistant-A posts.
NIC Vacancy Details:
Name of Post: Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) and its allied cadre posts
No of Posts: 376
Discipline-wise vacancies:
- Computer Science & Information Technology: 300
- Electronics and Communication Engineering: 26
- Data Science and Artificial Intelligence: 50
Scale of Pay: Pay Band of Rs. 14,000/- 70,000/ + Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200/- plus other allowances as admissible from time to time.
Educational Qualification:
- A Pass in M.Sc./MS/MCA/B.E./B.Tech. in the below mentioned fields (single or in combination): Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Sciences, Computer and Networking Security, Software System, Information Technology, Informatics.
- Must possess a VALID GATE score (i.e., GATE-2024 or 2025 or 2026) in the relevant paper.
Age Limit:
- UR/EWS: 30 years
- SC/ST: 35 years
- OBC (NCL): 33 years
- PwBD: 10 years.
- Service Candidates: Additional relaxation as per government rules
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules

Step 2: Click on the registration link and create a login ID.
Step 3: Fill in the online application form with correct personal, educational, and GATE details.
Step 4: Upload the following documents:
- Recent colour photograph (JPEG/JPG, 50-200 KB)
- Signature (JPEG/JPG, 10-50 KB)
- Date of Birth proof
- Educational certificates and mark sheets
- GATE Score Card (2024/2025/2026)
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD) if applicable
- CGPA conversion certificate (if applicable)
- Experience certificate (if any)
- NOC (if currently employed in Government/PSU)
- Age relaxation certificate (if applicable)
Step 5: Pay the application fee online (if applicable):
- UR/OBC/EWS: ₹800 (per discipline)
- SC/ST/PwBD/Women: No fee
