The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 16 vacancies in three prestigious Central Government posts: Assistant Keeper, Senior Store Officer Grade-II, and Livestock Officer.

1. Assistant Keeper
Number of Vacancies: 1
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years for UR
Pay Scale: Level 7 (7th CPC Pay Matrix) – Group B Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
Ministry: Anthropological Survey of India, Ministry of Culture
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Anthropology from a recognized university
- Diploma in Museology from a recognized university or institute
Desirable: At least one year experience of handling, maintaining, and preserving specimens in a recognized museum.
2. Senior Store Officer Grade-II
Number of Vacancies: 7
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years for UR
Pay Scale: Level 7 (7th CPC Pay Matrix) – Group A Gazetted, Ministerial
Ministry: Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Department of Defence Research and Development, Ministry of Defence
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Economics / Commerce / Statistics / Business Studies / Public Administration OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics / Commerce / Statistics / Business Studies / Public Administration
- Diploma in Materials Management / Warehousing Management / Purchasing / Logistics / Public Procurement from a recognized university or institute.
Experience:
- If holding Master's degree: 2 years experience in store keeping and maintaining stores accounts in Central/State Government, PSU, autonomous body, university, bank, or listed private sector company.
- If holding Bachelor's degree + Diploma: 4 years experience in same fields.
3. Livestock Officer
Number of Vacancies: 8
Age Limit: EWS: 35 years
Pay Scale: Level 10 + NPA (7th CPC Pay Matrix) – Group A Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
Ministry: Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry as listed in First/Second Schedule of Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984
- Registration in Veterinary Council of India or State Veterinary Council
Experience: 3 years experience in Cattle and Livestock Development / Animal Health / Poultry / Meat and Meat Products from Central/State Government, UT administration, statutory body, autonomous body, or recognized institute.
Desirable:
- Master's degree in Veterinary Science OR
- 2 years additional experience in above fields
Recruitment Test Centres:
Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Port Blair, Ranchi, Visakhapatnam, and for Ladakh – Leh, Srinagar, Kargil.
